Fat Cattle— 97 were yarded, medium quality, a few extra prime. . Prices showed an advance on last week, of from 15s to 203 per head. Be3t bullocks brought L 8 10a to L 1 0; medium, L 6 17a to L 7 15s ; inferior and light, LA 10s to L"5 ss: 6d; cowa in proportion. Fit Sheep— 3282 were penned— 3Bo jnerinoa and 2902 crossbred?. Prices for medium quality, bath ewe 3 and wethers, were a shade easier, i»nd only that several graziers operated; heavily a drop wou'd have to be recorded. Prime wethers, however, fit for freezing, were bought for export at equal to late rites. Best crossbred wethers brought 133 6d to 16s; ordiDaiy, Us 61 to 133 3d : best crossbred ewes, 103;6i to 14s; ordinary 73 3d to 10s 3d; merino wethers, 7s to 14s. •^Tfc'eat — The market shows no improvement, in fact it is painfully evident thvt the reverse is the case. We give last week's quotations, at which amall lots are dispesed of, but the quantity sold does not amount to much. Prime northern red straw and velvet, 3s B<i to 3s lOd ; Tuscan, 4a; medium to goo-«, 3s 3d; inferior and gojd whole fowl wheat, 2s 3d to 3d -(ex store). Oats— The market has remained inactive At the fame time there are buyers, but at considerably low«r prices th*n those qooted lately which most holders ar* unwilling to accept 'considering the smalVstocks Leld and the five months or more yet to run before the new crop is available. We give prices offered for bright stout mil ing, 2s 9£d to 2s 10£1j b*st short bright feed, 2d 8d to 2< 9£d; raeuum, 2s 6d io 2i 7d— (ex store). Unly small liaea can be purchased at these prices. Barley— The business done is exceedingly Bmall. Line 3 suitable for shipment are not easily obtained, and maltsters cannot be induced to buy unless the sample is exceptionally fine. Prime malting (nominal), 3a 7d"to 8s 9d ; me vhim to good, 3s 3d te 33 6d ; feed and milling, 2<j 9d to 3s— (ex store). ■■■■■■■"■ ________
