Samson v. Smerdon.— Claim, Ll Us 9J. Judgment by default ; coets, Os. Thos. Paterson v. Murdoch Mcßae. — Claim, LlO 17s Gd. Mr L. E. R'tadw for plaintiff and Mr Finn for defendant. Tin's waa a claim for aorvicea of a horse ; for damage douo by a bull ; and also for damage to plaintiff's fence.— After hearing evidence at considerable length his Worship gave judgment tor L 6 17s bd ; costs, L 2 13s.
Murdoch Mcßae v. Thos. Paterson.— Claim, Ll9 10a tor damnge done through defendant sbooting plaintiff's bull. In thia casu a maea of evidence was takon on both sidep, and bis Worship adjourned the C[lße , — Attor tbe adjournment counsel stated that an agreement had been arrived at between tbe parties, and tho case was withdrawn; it being understood that the plaintiff in the former case of PaU-raon v. Mcßae gave up lh« judgment recorded in hia favour.
Butcher v. Martin— 31 aim Ll. There being no appearance of plaintiff, 10d 6d coats were awarded to detendant. John Whyte v. Martin— Claim, L 2 18s for services rendered as manager of a booth, _c, at the Winton races. Mr Reade for plaintiff, Mr Finn for defendant. This Wttß il dispute aa to remuneration due to plaintiff, aDd Beveral witnesses on both aides were called. His Worship said he thought plaintiff was entitled to 18*, and gave judgment lor that amount with CO4IB L 2 0d 6d.
