AD SIR ALIA v. WELLINGTON.
[By Telegraph.] Wellington, Dec. 1. The Australians arrived at noon, and tbe match began at 2.30 p.m. The local men won the toss and went in, playing till just oq 6ix o'clock. Several played confidently, and hit with freedom, especially SalmoD, Lavvson, B. Blacklock, and McGirr. Riley, the top scorer, was missed twice, once by Palmer, badly, but played Garrett's bowling better than any of the other?, Ha wins one of the five-guinea trophies offered by himself. The Australians showed signs of fatigue, aad Evans and Phillips were not well after ihcir rough trip. The attendance was not iarge, and a stiff breezj blew all day.
