Southland Times Office, Tuesday Evening. The uanal fortnightly sale was held yesteiday at the Inver ca'gill Sale Yards. The trade attended in fair numbers, but not many farmers were present. Fat Sheep— There was a considerable entry of sheep, boh in the -wool and shorn, the bulk of whkh were placed at the following quotations : — Crossbred wethsrs (in tin wool) brought 8s Bd, 9d ?d, 103 sd, lie, 11s 5-*, and 12s lOd ; and one particularly prime lot, 13s Bd. Storo wethers made 6s 9d to 9s 7d, for really prime sheep. Fat shorn ewes were passed at 7s 9d and 83 3d, whilst young ewes, in the w-ol (medium condition), only brought Bs. A pen of lambsjroldfor 4s. A fin of fine big store hoggetts were passed in at 7s Bd, Fat Cattle - There were some extra prime bullocks offer d, and passed at from £10 to £10 17s 6 •«. Medium weights, of good quality, brought £7 158 to £8 10a. Stores — A pen of fresh tivo and three year olds were passed at £2 A cumber of milk cows were sold at from £3 17s 6d to £4 2s 6d.
