The 8.8. Timaru left Greymouth at 7.30 pm. on Saturday, and experienced line weather and smooth, sea until breasting West Cape at 9 30 p.m. on Sundaj. From thence until arrival at 5.30 ajn. yesterday, strong westerly winda were met with. Tho Timaru brings 400 tons of coal for the Gas Work?, and will sail for Greymouth, via the East Coast ports, this evening. The ketch Recamia sailed for Lyttelton at 2 p.m yesterday, The Alcestis is busy taking in ballast. The A. S. News reports that the Western Star, brigantine, 12 1 tons, of Invercargill, built at Riverton in 1885, was sold in Sydney, by public auc-ion, on 7th inst., for £325.
