Wrey's Bush Races.
(FBOM OTJB OWN COEBBSPONDBHT)' The annual meet of the Wrey's Bnsfi Jockey Club took place on the 26th ult^ in a paddock belonging to Mr Johnston* The course was a very fair one, but coald have been improved ; by a little: expenditure. The weather was very suitable; the attendance was good, and the most perfect order waa maintained throughout the day. Mr Flynns' refreshment booth was conducted fn a most admirable manner ; Mr D. Kaveney ran a fruit and confectionery Stall, and Mr Fitzsimmoni a totalisator, whioh was fairly patronised! An "old Aunt Sally" in the attentive hands of a man from Merrivale diggings, whose get up was more grotesque than' that ot the old lady herself, ; and a' wheel of fortune completed the side shows. Tho office-bearers performed their variooi duties in a creditable manner. A protest, which was upheld, was lodged against Aparima for haying won more than the amount of money (£10) stipHlatedin the programme, and the stakes were awarded to Taipo. Consolation Bach.
