Drill Instruction at Schools.
v- . TO THE EDITOR. Sib, — I gee mentioned that application had been made by the Stafi Sergeant of Volunteers to be permitted to drill the High School boyp. Why the High School alone? I would sugge&t to the authorities how advisable it is for all schools to have the benefit conferred upon the lada attending the Government establishments. Setting-up drill is painfully required amongst the lads, as you see them slouching through the streets, some of them grown almost to manhood. Now that a good drill instructor is here, I would strongly recommend that he be appointed by the School Committee to attend all schools in town, and not only the High School, where we cannot all afford to send our sons. — 1 am, &c. Citizen,
