Resideut Magistrate's Court.
Monday, 21st July, (Before Messrs McDonald and Perkins , Js.P.) ASSAULTING THE POLICE. Hannah Buckley was charged with having assaulted a constable while in the execution of his duty. Accused was in the court room during the time that the Court was sitting in the forenoon, and after the business was ovpr, she went forward and [ used abusive language to several persons. The Clerk of the Court having given her in charge, a constable proceeded to arrest her when she struck him a severe blow on the face.— After hearing evidence, tha j Bench sentenced accused to two months' imprisonment with hard labor. ! Tuesday, 22nd July. (Before W. Todd, Esq., J.P.) DRUNKENNESS. A first offender, was fined ss, with the usual alternative, for having been drank.
