The Union Company's s,s. Arawata arrived at the Bluff at 9 a.m. yesterday, The Arawata after being laid up for about li! months has just been put into commission, m place of the s.s. Wairarapa, which vessel is now preparing for aa excursion to the Fiji Islands, The Arawata Bailed for Melbourne m the afternoon. The s,s. Kakanui called m at the Bluff yesterday evening, and towed the barque Conference tip to the wharf. The s.s. Star of the South finished discharging her inward cargo of coal, and sailed for Dunedin at 6 p.m. yesterday. The Ruapehn's actual steaming time on her last voyage from Lyttelton to London was 87 days 20 hours.
