Just Thb Time o' Day is a beautiful dark dapple bay, five years old, stands 16 hands 3 inches high, set on fine short legs, with immense bone and plenty of hair, sound feet, and has very superior action. Just The Time o 1 Day was only shown three times in Scotland, and received first honors on each occasion, At Wigton he beat a field of 11, of whom several were first prize dinners at several of the principal Shows in Scotland. He took first prize at Invercargill Show last year as best entire horse, and the President's gold medal as the best bred Clydesdale in the yard. Took first at Invercargill, Gore, and Wyndham, 1882, He i» connected witb the best Clydesdale breeds ia Scotland, his sire being a Loch Fergus champion horse, and his dam a Lord Lyon mare. PEDIGBEE : Lobd Clyde is a bright bay, 4 years old, stands 16£ hands high, was bred by Mr W, Robinson, Southbridge, Tokomairiro. He has gained the following prizes : — lst in Bal« clutha in 1880, 1881, 1882 ; Ist at Tokomairiro in 1880, 1881, and 1882 ; Ist at both shows at Matau in 1881 (the Club holding two shows in one year), and Ist in 1882. Lord Clyde won the silver cup at Matau the same year, and Ist at Waitahnna in 1881. His sire, Young Clyde, imported from Scotland by Mr John Trcstrail, is a dark brown horse with dark points, stands 17 hands high, and shows unexceptionable quality ; he gained the following prizes:— ln 1874 he was awarded the Biggar Farmers' Society's prize of £100, and X travelled that district in 1875. He gained ™ the silver medal at Oarnwath In those two years for the best horse that travelled the Upper Ward of Lanarkshire, At the Glasgow February Show, in 1875 he was one of the three drawn for the Champion Cup, gained second honors at the Highland So ciety's Show the same year. Young Clyde's sire was the famed horse Ynung Campßie, the property of Mr David Riddle, which gained the Glasgow Prize ia the years 1868 and 1869, and likewise the Highland Society's Prize. Old Oampsey, his, g sire, gained the following prizes: — In 1862, '65, '66, '68, '69, the West Calder Premium of £40 each year ; in 1863 and 1864, CriefE and titrathein Premium of £40 each year ; first" prize at the Highland Agricultural Society's Shows in 1863 at Kelso ; and the Society's gold medal at Glasgow in 1867, Dam Maggie, bred by Mr John Hislop, Tokomairirio. Maggie is the winner of 11 First and 6 Second Prizes. Her sire, Young Prince of Wales (imported from Scotland hy Mr Henry Hill, and sold for 1100 guinea«\ w.is bred by Mr Lawrence Drew, of Mery. town, Hamilton, and was selected by wellknown indges as the best colt in Scotland at a yearling. He won the first prize at Glasgow, open to all Scotland, and at Hamilton was first in his own class, with an extra gold medal for the best horse shown, any age, including the two year«old colts that won the Ist prizes at Kelso and Glasgow. He was never beaten in New Zealand j Young Prince of Wales' sire is that wonderfully unbeaten horse, Prince of Wales, which Mr Drew bought from Mr J). Riddle, of Kilbowie, for 1500g5., and is standing in Scotland at 15 guineas.
