KINGLAND'S EMPLOYES V. TIMEP CRICKET CLUB.
A match, as above, was played on the Western Reserve on Saturday, and resulted in an easy victory on the first innings for the former. The winning team were the first to so to tliQ wickets, nnd put together 04 ; of which Loredo and Hohson scored 22 and 17, respectively. The typos, although making a good start, only totalled 37 ; the " tail end " proving of more than usual dimensions ; Stirling being the only one to reach double figures. Kingsland's men scored 43 in their second attempt, of which no less than 25 were credited to Hobson. It being within four minutes of the time, the stumps were drawn. The wicket' keeping of Stevenson and backstop? i ping of Hobson and Morrison were the only feature of notice in the fielding. It may be mentioned that an inncorreet decision was given, on appeal, resulting in the dismissal of one of the Times team who was caught off a ball which struck him on the wrist — contra to rule 16, Marylebone la.ws • this, however, could not have materially affected the result.
