The Argns report of the Melbourne markets on 28th November is as follows : — Actual business has not been of much consequence. In flour, at auction, about 40 tons were disposed of at £10 15s, while nine tons of secouds were placed at £9 10s. Privately, sales are reported at np to £11. About 200 bags of wheat ■were offered publicly. aDd were readily cleared off at os 6Ad ; privately we hear of a line of 500 bags haying been placed at os 7d ; holders are firm at this price. We have not very much to report in feeding grains ; at au^tiono nbout too fcaga wore nubmitted, but only 170 bags were disposed of at from 3s 3d for Calcutta to 3s 11 Ad for medium feed ; while 4s 2sd was ref used for a line of stout feed. We understand, however, that this lot was placed after the sale at 4s 3d. Privately, a small parcel of fair milling was placed at 4s 3d, while a large quantity was under negotiation at same price ; holders quote up to 4s 4d for prime milling. A line of 600 bass hasaljo been sold at a concession on 3s 7d in bond. For feeding barley only 3s 2d to 3s 4d was bid, and 4s for new malting Hoi lers, however, wonld not accept these prices. Bran sold at auction at ls 7d, though after the sale less money was asked. Large lines have been ofEered to-day for forward delivery at a concession on prices lately quoted, but without finding a purchaser. Sales of pollard have been made at Is fid. In sugar?, under tbe hammer, 2452 pockets of Queensland were cleared off, realising for white counters £33. Soft yellowish counters brought from £27 10s to £27 15s. Browns sold at from £25 to £25 10s, and rations at from £24 to £24 105. A fair quantity of Indian teas was quitted publicly. One hundred half-chests were sold at ls OJd for pekoe sonchong, and ls 3d for Cachar broken pekoe. A.bout 400 half-chests were also placed at 10^d for pekoe souchong up to ls s^d for Assam pekoe.
