Maccabe's Entertainment.
'Last evening, Mr Maccabe repeated the programme presented by him on Saturday night, in Sloan's Theatre, tho attendance being very large, notwithstanding counter attractions and the unfavorable state of the weather. The lower portion of the building was crowded to standing room, while the attendance in the dress circle was equal to that of Saturday. The performance went with equal verve to that of the first presentation, and the plaudits were loud and frequent. Mr Maccabe appears again this evening in a burlesque melo-drama of bis own construction and in which, of course, he assumes all the characters. The title of the sketch is " Villany Vanquished : or Virtue Victorious," and we are assured that Mr Maccabe surpasses himself in this. Another novelty to be presented is an appearance in dual character — in fact " not himself at all " but a little of both sexes. This has been favorably spoken of by the " Thunderer."
