ENGLAND v. NEW SOUTH WALES.
[By Cable.] Sydney, Dec. 4. The cricket match between the Hon. Ivo Bligh's team and New South Wales Eleven was resumed to-day when the Englishmen continued their first inning's with 8 wickets down for 441 runs. Barnes and Vernon, the not out men of yesterday, took their places at the wickets and the latter added 12 to his scoie, ami was then bowled for a total of 24. Barnes was caught for 12, and JMorh-y was not" out for 2 ; total, 4(31. The New South Wales team then commenced their second innings, requiring to make 310 to save a single innings defeat. They, however, only succeeded in putting together another I6f>, and tin* Englishmen thus won the match in one innings and 144 runs to spare. The following is the New South Wales score in their second innings : — Gearey, c 22 ; Moses, c, 2 ; Allen, c and b, 9 : Hiddlestone, run out, 0 : \larr, b, 0; Callahar. h, 0 ; Evans, rnn out, 2 ; Davies. b, 85 ; Turner, c, 2 ; Me-are, c, 1 ; Powell, rot out. 3*2 ; extra-, 10 : total, IGS.
