Dunedin Spring Meeting.
SECOND DAY. [By Telegraph.] Dunedin, Dec. 2 Atthe Spring Meeting to-day there was a poor attendance consequent up«n the counter attraction of the Carnival spoits and costume cricket match which drew together five or six thousand people. The following were the results : — Hunters' Plate Handicap of 60 soys. Wild Boy 1 Gang Awa' 2 Mokarakara 3 Wild Boy scored an unexpected win from his two competitors by two lengths. President's Handicap.— A sweepstakes of 3 soys., with 130 added. Turquoise ... 1 Maribyrnong ... ... ... 2 These were tho only starters, ancl Turquoise played with Maribyrnong ; winning with a lot in hand by a neck. Novel Eace of 60 soys. Aurora w.o. Grandstand Handicap of 60 soys. Miss King Filly 1 Nautilus 2 Violin, Gitana, and Stockflower also ran. There was a magnificent race between the filly, Nautilus, and Violin, the filly winning by a head. Time — 1 mm. 20 sees. Gitana and Nautilus were the favorites. Members' Plate Welter Handicap.— A sweep of 3 soys., with 100 added. Turquoise ... ... ... ... 1 Gitana _ Somuus ... ... ... ... 3 Rangatira also ran. Turquoise was favorite and won by a length. Time — 1 mm. 32 sees.
