TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — It muat be somewhat gratifying to the president of the Invercargill Cricket Club ; Mr Cross, and cricketers of the local reputation 'of Messrs Kingsland, Morison, Galbraith, Morgan and Hamilton, to find themselves classed as only fit for second eleven matches in your report of the match Campbelltown v. Invercargill in your issue to-day. The least that can be asked is tbat honor should be given to whom honor is due, and it is a pity that " Long Stop " should have underrated this team, most of whom have hitherto been recognised as first eleven men. — I am, &c, Bldff. December Ist, 1882. For remainder of reading matter see fourth page
