Indus arrived at King George's Sound this morning from Galle, with the outward mails via Suez and Briadisi, dated London, Sept. 23rd. MELBOURNE, Oct. 24. Falmouth and Lord Clifton have been scratched for the Melbourne Cup. Somnus is tirtit favorite for the Derby at 2 to 1. Somerset's price is 3to 1. Betting on the Cup is unchanged — Duchess, 8 to 1 ; Trump Yoss, 10 to 1 ; Sweetmeat and Odd Trick, 14 to 1. The steamship Alhambra has been chartered here for six months for the New Zealand trade.
