Some time since the Chief Surveyor paid us a visit J-.2 surveying some portion of land belonging to the Otago and Southland Education Board, for ihe purpose o£ leasing - tbe same. He promised ihat in a short time, a mouth I believe, tire Work should be corurnenced. Months have elapsed since '.then. ' Probably^ ube^Kas^ forgotten all abbut-it, or is it that his promises are like, the proverbial pie-crust?
