CAMPBELLTOWN MUNICIPAL ELECTION.

(FKOM OUR OWN CORBESPONDENT.) The election of nine councillors £«>r the ) Borough of Campbelltown tookr place yesterday. The poll, as declared shortly after six o'clock, was as follows:' — Sullivan, 60 ; Henderson, 60";" Waddel, 60 ;^ Ward, 58 ; Searle, 57 ; Tucker, 56 ; Wall, 54 ; Hunter, 53 ; Thompson, 50. These were the elected. The' unsuccessful candidates -potted as follows:— Warren, 38 ; Walker, 7;Robertson, 15; Wilson,'^B; 'McDonald, 20; Mr Sullivan, thanked the" electors for placing him at the head, of the poll. Ho promised to do his best to- sec justice done to the town, and should endeavor to 'attend to the duties of Ms, office- as an independent man. ? ? . Mr Henderson expressed the gratification he felt at having secured the confidence of the electors, ■more^'especially as this was the firstroccasionTon which he, had' sought their suffrages in the character of a public man.
