(fbom: OUB own correspondent.) A Chinaman named Tv Ah Long;- who has been employed at the Railway Hotel here for the last fortnight, is said to have hung himself this morning on the branch of a tree in tho bush to the westward of Park street. I heard of the occurrence at about 5 minutes past 9 a.m., and at ones' proceeded to the locus in quo, where I found the man hanging to the bow iof a tree. When I arrived there were at least twenty adults present, and I could not persuade any one to assist me to cut the body down. When the police arrived it was effected and the man was then dead. I refrain from further details or comment until after the inquest, which is to take place to-morrow- Friday, the 15th inst. : The nomination of candidates for this EidiDg in the County Council took place ; to-day in the Odd Fellows' Hall.
