(Before His Worship the Major.) John Bevan, for being drunk and disorderly, was fined 10s; in default, 7 days' imprisonment with hard lnbor. The prisoner said that he only had a " little drop of brandy," and that he had fallen into a ditch, | and had also lost his watch. Ilia Worship observed that (he prisoner was certain'y impro?ing his position by getting drunk, and informed him, that inasmuch as that was his third appearance on a similar charge, if he ' appeared before l\ic Court again ho wouUl bo liable to, and probably receire, a very considerable term of imprisonment.
