Baldy, Key. Father Higeins, and 30 Chinamen. The s.s. Wanganui arrived from Dunedin at 9.30 a.m. on the 24th inst., and experienced fine weather on the passage down. After landing passengers for Invercaraill and a portion of her cargo, she sailed for Riverton with a number of Chinamen and returned to the Bluff the same evening. The s.s. Maori left Dunedin at 11 a.m. on the 13th instant, and arrived at Lyttelton at 8 30 a.m. on the 14th, where she discharged cargo, and left again at 4.45 p.m., and arrived in Nelson at 7 p.m. on the 15th. Eeached the Buller at noon on the 16th, crossed Hoiitika bar at 8.30 a.m. on the 18th ; left again on the 19th at 9 a.m., crossed the Grey Bar at 11.30 a.m., and left the Grey on the 21st at 11.30 a.m. with 130 tons coal, some general cargo, and pesaengers. Arrived at Jackson's Bay at daylight on the 22nd, and left again at 2 p.m., and having called at Preservation Inlet, arrived at tho Blutf on the 24th.
