THE CELEBRATED CLYDESDALE ENTIRE nOESE ' "LORD NELSON," Will Travel this Season from the Mataura Bridge • towards the Tois Tois, taking each side of river LORD NELSON ia by Young Lofty, out of the mare Flower. Young Lofty by the celebr-ited horse Lofty, imported by the late Thomas Robinson, Esq., of Southland. L^fty is well-known to be the best horse that ever crossed the line, his stock have never been beaten, and his prizes in the colony and elsewhere are too numerous to mention. The Duke of Buccleuch, one of his sons, was bred by the Hon. Mathew Holmes, of Oamaru, who refused £900 for him, and he has stood for the last two seasons at 7 guineas a mare. Young Lofty, as a yearling, took Ist prize as the best Clydesdale entire colt at the Southland A. and P. Association, 1867. In 1868 he took first honors at the same show. As a four-year-old he took first prize against all comers in 1870. Lobs Nelson's dam, Flower, is a fine Clydesdale mare, imported by Mr Burrows. She has taken the first prize for five years in succession at the Southland A. and P. Association. Flower is without doubt the best mare that any Colonial entire has been bred out of. Lobd Nelson is a stylish chestnut, Btands 17 hands high, rising 4 years' oid, with plenty of substance, immense cbest, wide quarters, splendid back, fine style, broad knees, and excellent feet, so requisite in a cart horse. lobd Nelson took the first prize in Southland as a yearling, as a two-year old he took first honors at the same place, and last year at the Walking Show he was considered to be the best horse shown. TO STAND THIS SEASON AT YENLAW, And travel the Wyndham, Mokareta, Tuturau, and Mataura districts, CELEBEATED '^^^^S^ff ENTIEE "YOUNG CHAMPION." YOUNG CHAMPION was bred by R. Q. Kermode, Esq., of Tasmania, and was imported to Southland in 1868. His dam was the famous mare Rose, which carried off a number of prizes against all comers at the leading shows in England and Scotland. YouNa Champion is a bright black, stands 16^hands high, with flat bone, and great muscular power. His stock is well-known in the Southland district, where one of his two-year old colts carried off the first prize at the last show of the Agricultural and Pastoral Association.
