This company is established for the purpose of supplying to the thrivingandincreasinglyimportant colony of New Zealand those advantages which aro already enjoyed by the colonies of Australia ana Canada, by the Trust and .Loan Societies now existing. Its operations will consist of loans and advances on mortgage upon real security in Mew Zealau 1, for which the s\steni of public registration ot land established there affords great lacility. with perfect safety. The company Mill also bo prepared to make advances on securities of a substantial character, including thoie to municipal bodies upou t'iicir bonds. It is not proposed that more that £5 shall be called upon each £25 share (of which £2 will bo sufficient for present purposes), but that to the extent of the remaining £20 per share, the company shall exercise its borrowing powers for procuring money in Great Britain upon debentures for terms ot years at a fixed rate of interest. This money will also be lent in the same manner as the paid-up capital, and the lenders v> ill be protected both by the securities taken and by the subscribed but uncalled capital, which will itself be equal to the entire amount borrowed.
