Travellers on foot to leave the former place at first of (he ebb, and tho latter at last quarter ebb. bearing in mind that a westerly or F.VV. crale will cause a seven hours' flood, leaving but five hours' ebb. so that it will be necessary to get undpr way accordingly. The above distance is generally covered by horsemen in from 2J to 3 hours, an on foot in from 4\ to 6 hours.
