Level approaches to swamp ; construct culvert 18 inches square, 24 feet long, filling and forming road 2 feet high, 45 links in length ; cut side drains to ditto, each 3 feet wide on top, 2 feet 6 inches deep, andO inches at bottom ; also, 5 chains of outfall drains of same dimensions as above, to discharge freely into Tunamai Creek, over which construct bridge of 12 feet span, raised I foot nhove level of bnnks ; form approaches thereto, about 20 links at each end ; cover floor of bridge one foot deep with sound soil. Maori Head Creek : Construct culvert 24 feet long, 2 feet square, forming road and cutting drains on each side for 25 links, cut outfall drain 60 links. Construct culvert 20 inches square. 24 feet long, 2\ chains of ditching on either side, and cut outfall, it free discharge can bo obtaindd within six chains ; all ditches to be 50 feet apart, leaving a clear roadway of 44 feet, at pc r Bridge, per Culvert, and per Chain for ditching and forming, or for the whole work. 162.
