Mr Graham gave notice of motion that the .building committee also act as a finance committee. The inspector reported on an application that the Board would enlarge the school accommodation at Sandhurst (Hakateramea). In summer the school is carried on in a large public hall, in winter the hall is too cold and the school is conducted in a retiring room. It was this room that the Committee asked the Board to enlarge.—The Board agreed that they could not spend any money on the room, but they would increase the rent if the owners enlarged it. The Board rose at 4 p.m.
