News has been received that Cape Colony is unlikely to send a delegate to the Canadian Conference.
THE AMERICAN TARIFF BILL. Washington, April 25.
The Tariff Bill has been modified in order to secure the entire Democratic vote in the Senate, and it is predicted that the measure will be passed about the middle of June. (Special to Press Association.) Received 10.45 a.m., April 25th. A SOCIALIST RIOT. Buda-Pesxh, April 24. Three hundred Socialists attacked the Town Hall at Vasahely, in Hungary. The police fired upon the rioters, many of whom were wounded, one fatally, and they arrested six.
THE GERMAN ARMY. Berlin, April 24. The Emperor la replacing aged army officers with younger men. Thirty generals have resigned.
