(By Telegraph.) OHEISTOHUBOH, Atoubx 15. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association was held tonight. The report showed that there was a credit balance of £Bl 8s 7d ; that the number of clubs now affiliated was 14, as against 10 for the previous year, and that the membership was 1410, as against 1208 i that it bad been arranged that a team representative of the colony should take part in the Australasian championships in Melbourne, and that with regard to the Pan-Britannio scheme, it bad been arranged that a conference ebould be held in Melbourne at the time of the Australasian championship, to consider the question, Australasia to be represented at the first meeting which will probably be held in London in 1891. Dr Boberts, of Dunedin, was elected president, and Mr O. H. Oroxton and Mr L. A. Cuff were re-elected hon. treasurer and secretary, respectively. At the request of the oommittee of the Dunedin Club it was decided to hold the annual championship meeting at Dunedin in February next. A motion was carried that no application for reinstatement shall be considered unless accompanied by a deposit of five shillings ; that the teaching of gymnastics at school does not constitute a man a professional, provided his engagement also includes classic duties at some institution ; recommending the Beinstatement Oommittee to show less leniency in granting reinstatements Last year 124 applications were considered, A notice of motion from the Wellington Olub, that the rule relating to points for championship banner be altered to four points for first, two for second, one for third, was lost by a large majority.
