London, August 13
H.M.S. Triumph has arrived at Portsmouth with the survivors of the Victoria disaster on board. Many affecting scenes were witnessed when the men landed. RAILWAY DISASTER.
A train crammed with holiday makers ran off the rails at Llantrissent, in Glamorganshire, yesterday, and three carriages rolled 50 yards down an embankment. The passengers were wedged in the wreckage and a heartrending scene occurred. Fifteen people were killed and 50 injured.
RELIGIOUS FEUDS IN BOMBAY.
Bombay, August 18.
The troops were obliged to fire upon and charge the rioters. Collisions were frequent in several parts of the city. Three hundred armed policemen and railway hands are assisting the troops. Two hundred rioters have been taken prisoners. Lord Harris returns immediately. THE KAIKOURA. Capetown, August 13. The Kaikoura sailed to-day for Wellington and Lyttelton.
