The Primitive Methodist Band of Hope held their usual fortnightly meeting in the church last evening, there being only a moderate attendance. The president occupied the chair, and hie programme was well made up, consisting of temperance recitations and readings. Although some of the members did not put in an appearance their places were filled by visitors from other Bands of Hope, who kindly volunteered and gave very interesting and instructive recitations. Mr Paioe gave a very instructive and interesting address tracing the evidences of intemperance both in the colony and the Old Country This being his first visit the members expressed a wish that they would often see him again. After singing a hymn, the meeting was closed with prayer by the president. Sanders and Sons’ Eucalypti Bvtracfc,— (See Advt.)
