At the Court-martial to-day Staff Command or T. H. Smith, of H.M.S. Victoria, deposed that Admiral Tryon admitted that the collision was entirely his own fault.

At the enquiry to-day Captain Burke admitted that he might have reversed the Victoria’s screw without orders, and said that be would have done so if Admiral Tryon had not been present. Staff Commander T. Hankins Smith thought that the evolution required about a distance of ten cables.
