THE SECOND TEST MATCH. (Per Klkotbio Telegraph—Copyright.) (Per Press Association.) (Received 8 p.m., Feb. 3rd.) Sydney, Feb. 3. The second of the test matches between Lord Sheffield’s team and the Australians was finished to-day, the latter again winning, this time with 74 runs to spare. The weather was fine during the day. The second innings of the visitors closed for 156 runs, the scores for the day being Stoddart 69, Reed 22, Peel 5, Lohmann 18, McGregor 12, Briggs 12, Attwell 0, Sharp 4, extras 8 ; Turner took 4 wickets for 46, and Giffen 6 for 72. The result was received by the spectators with enthusiastic delight, and the Australians were cheered to the echo. (Received 0.50 a.m., Feb. 4th. 1
The third test match between the Australians and the Englishmen will be played at Adelaide. The Australian team will be the same as have played here, except that Moses will be replaced by either Donnan or Gregory.
