The Pesther Loyd states that a doctor named Hursch threw a bomb at the Czar while hunting, but only succeeded in wounding General Werder. Hursch was immediately arrested.
SAMOA, Vienna, Oct. 12. Conrad Ceder Kranz has been appointed Chief Justice of Samoa.

General Jonss has succeeded in forming a Ministry after ail others who had been entrusted with the task had failed.

Mr Oscar Meyer, the representative of New South Wales at the Mining Exhibition, feeling alighted because he was not invited to the conversazione which celebrated the closing of the exhibition, held an opposition re-union of his own in the New South Wales section. (Received 11a.m., October 13th.) COMMERCIAL. Oct. 11. There has been a fall of sixpence in Tallow; the last quotation was 27s 6d to 28s 6d.
The total number of bales of wool catalogued to date is 244.000, of which 125,000 have been sold. In all 13,000 bales were taken for export.
