GREAT DISTRESS IN MELBOURNE.

(Per Press Association.) (Received 12.30 p.m., July 11th.) Melbourne, July 11. The unemployed question is assuming a serious phase. The ministers refused to give the men an audience and they interviewed Bishop Goe and Archbishop Carr. An open air meeting was afterwards held in Collins Street. The police and mounted troopers patrolled the street, but the proceedings were orderly. It is stated that there are ten thousand out of work at the present moment.
