Rosamond will leave for Wellington and Greymouth on Saturday. Special low passenger fares are advertised for the Hauroto’s trip hence to Sydney next Tuesday. The s.s. Herald is due from Greymouth on Saturday with 440 tons of coal. After discharging she proceeds to Dunedin. The barque Ardmore has now 700 tons on board, and being waded down as low as is safe at the Moody wharf she has been shifted off, to come to the main wharf to complete. SAD FATALITY. (Bv Telegraph. ) Lyttelton, Juno 18, The barque Diana arrived at Lyttelton from Dunediq this afternoon, after a passage of a week through adverse winds and calms. On Sunday last when off Banks’ Peninsula, a heavy nor’-west squall caught the vessel. All hands went aloft to take in the foresail, and Christopher Mouat, A. 8., fell from the yard to the deck, receiving injuries from which he died iu two hours. The body had to be buried at sea.
