Druidism.

The quarterly summoned meeting of the Timaru Lodge of Druids was held in the Foresters’ Hall last evening, Bro. D. Evans, A.D., presiding. There was a full attendance of members. After the correspondence had been read, the nomination of officers was proceeded with, viz : —A.D., Bros. G. Sealey and J. Hodgers ; V.A., Bros. J. Brassell and 0, Head j secretary, Bro. J. Boulden 5 treasurer, Bro. J. Eonaldson ; 1.G., Bro. S. Robinson: O.G, Bro, A. Prosser; AD. Bards, Bros. A. Thompson and W. 9. Tank; Y.A. Bros. R. Fisher and J. G. Robertson ; minute secretary, Bro. R. W. Simpson; auditor, Bro. J. G. Eobertson. The election takes place next lodge night. Correspondence was then dealt with, The letter from the Nelson Vigilance Committee, held over ‘from April 22ud, came up for discussion, and it was resolved that the executive be a committee to consider it and bring it up for consideration at a meeting of the united lodges, to be held in Timaru on Monday next, and that the Nelson committee be apprised of the appointment of delegates. Bro. Boulden then gave his report re meeting of the District Grand Lodge in Christchurch. A letter from the Oddfellows was then discussed, and it was carried that the executive officers be delegatee to their meeting re forming a committee to watch the interests of friendly societies in Timaru, fick pay was passed for payment amounting to 13s 4d. The lodge has no sick members now on the funds. Doctor’s and chemist’s and officers’ salaries were passed for payment. The receipts for the evening were £7B Os 3d. The lodge was closed in due form by the A.D. at 10.30 p.m.
