In the match against Cambridge University, the Australians in their first innings made 351, the principle scorers being Ferris 23, Trumble 19, Charlton (not out) 36, Gregory 49, Barrett 66. The last two showed excellent cricket. In their second innings the Cambridge team batted brilliantly, and were not disposed of until the score had reached 35T; Jophson, 37, Douglas 57, Macgregor 31, Woods 13, Gosling 37, Hill (not out) 22. Turner took 2 wickets for 96 runs, Trott 3 for 89, Ferris 1 for 08, Lyons 2 for ,58. Trumble 1 for 37. The Australians require to make 195 runs to win the match.
