AUCTIONEERS’ REPORT. Messrs J. Mundell and Co., report sales for the week ended Saturday, June Bth, 1889, as follows : At the Geraldine yards on Wednesday, the attendance of buyers and others interested was good. A large entry of stock of grand quality was yarded consisting of 6099 sheep, 89 head of cattle, and 54 pigs. The following prices were realised during the sale. SHEEP. Crossbred ewes and wethers (fat) 15s 6d, 11s 9d,to 10s. crossbred wethers and maiden owes (forward stores) 11s 9d to 10s, three-quarter-brod hoggets 10s 3d, 9s 9d to 9s 4d, half-bred hoggets (culls) 7s. CATTLE. 3-year-old steers in forward condition £4, heifers (forward stores) £2 10s, dairy cows close on calving £4 7s _6d, dry cows £l lss, 2-year-old steers and heifers .£llos, yearlings ,£1 to 17s 6d. PIGS. Strong stores 10s to 9s, weanera 6s 6d to 6s We sold draught horses and farming implements, under bill of sale,at satisfactory prices, COUNTRY SALES. Associated with Messrs Miles, Archer and Co ,we submitted to auction a portion of Woodside Estate, but were unable to effect a sale at owners’ reserves, but we have received offers privately, which we consider will lead to satisfactory business. On Friday we held a clearing sale on account of Mr James Northam, of live stock and farming implements. There was a large attendance of buyers and satisfactory prices were obtained. Draught horses sold at £ 22, .£l9 10s, to .£lB. • PRIVATE SALES. During the week we sold Mr Bndd’s freehold properties at Winchester, to Mr Alfred White, at a price satisfactory to the vendor.
