Alexander Sullivan has denounced Dr Oroniu as a personal enemy and perjurer and had him expelled from the brotherhood. He is a British and not an American citizen. SULLIVAN THE MURDERER. Le Caron has assured Luke Dillon that Sullivan is Ilia murderer of Cronin. The evidence is threatening against Sullivan. THE NICARAGUA CANAL. Workmen have begun operations on the Nicaragua Canal at the Greytown end. EARTHQUAKE IN NEW YORK. A shook of earthquake has been experienced in New York, but no damage was done.

The Public Prosecutor has issued a summons against the bankrupt Lord Manderville, on a charge of fraud.

The English wheat market is weak, and there is no change to report in prices. The Continental market is dull, and the American is declining. Forward business is inactive.
