Arrived—S.S. Lubeck from Apia Harbour. She brings Samoan news up to May 2Glh. Mataafa hearing that a German warship was approaching Samoa has taken steps to mobilise his men, and he shortly expects to have a well armed and equipped array of 3000 strong. Tamasese is still encamped at Luatanna, his stronghold, with 2000 men. The remains of the German warship Eber have been destroyed by dynamite. The high commissioner has delivered judgment in the case of Maaaraia v. McArthur and Co. A verdict was given for plaintiff for £41,276 and coats, and tho defendants were ordered to deliver up possession of all lands.
(Received 1 a.m., June Bth.) THE BRITISH CONSUL AND MATAAFA. Sydney, June 7. News has been received by the Lubeck from Samoa that H.M.S. Rapid had left there for Fiji in order to bring Sir J. B. Thurston to Apia to hear tho charges made against H. De Collogen, the British Consul, of having rendered assistance to Mataafa in the recent strife.
