In the Supreme Court,to-day,the action of Wheoler v. South British Insurance Company was decided. , Plaintiff, who was the owner of the steamer Alhambra which sank while engaged in attempting to remove a derelict vessel outside Sydney harbour, sought to recover the sum of £6OOO, being the amount of insurance on the vessel. The court nonsuited plaintiff’ on the ground that the Alhambra was engaged in work outside of the terms of the policy. SOUTH AUSTRALIAN PARLIAMENT. Adelaide, June G. Parliament was opened this afternoon by His Excellency the Governor, the Earl of Kintore. The Speech from the Throne stated that although the past season had been a bad one, yet it was hoped that the revenue would be sufficient to meet the expenditure.
