Carbine Match.
TIMARU NAVAL ARTILLERY. OFFICERS AND PETTY OFFICERS V. GUNNERS. This match was fired yesterday afternoon, and resulted in a victory for the Gunners. The day was dull and cold, and the match was not concluded till dark. The last squad who fired at tho 400 yards range could with difficulty seo the target. However, an enjoyable afternoon was spent on the range, and it was decided to have a return match on an early date. The conditions were five shots at each of 200, 300, and 400 yards, Wimbledon targets and scoring. Tho scores are as follows : Officers and Pettv Officers.
