(By Telegraph.) A Fatal Drink- , MASTERTON, June 3. An elderly man named Harry Crocker swallowed a large quantity of carbolic acid, and died in the hospital on Sunday afternoon. He was an old identity in the district. At the inquest a verdict was found of suicide while temporarily insane. Tenants Paying up. WELLINGTON, June 3. The circular issued to Crown tenants in arrears, threatening to sue, has had a good effect. Many are paying up, especially jp the Wellington district. The Exhibition. 1 NELSON, June 3.
