MAIL NOTICES.
For Northern Ports of New Zealand and Sydney, per Penguin and. Wairarapa, on Wednesday, 2Dth inst., at 430 p.m. For the United Kingdom and Australian Colonies, via Hobart, per Rotomahana, on Wednesday, 29th inst., at 2.30 p.m. For United Kingdom, East and West Coast of South, America, per lonic on Wednesday, May 29th, as follows : Books, newspapers, and registered letters and money orders at 3.30 p.m.; ordinary letters at 4 p.m. ; late fee letters (6d extra) at Chief Post Office till 4.45 p.m., and at railway mail van North Express, till 5.5 p.m. The parcel post mail for United Kingdom by the above boat will close at 4 p.m. on the same day. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Tak.apuna, on Saturday, June Ist., at 4.30 p.m.
On and after Monday, 13th inat., mails by trains will close at Timarn, as follows For South (per express) daily at 2.30 p.m., and by other trains as at present. For North (by express) daily at 4.45 p.m.; for Christchurch and intermediate offices, Monday, and Friday, at 6 a.m., and on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, at 11.30 a.m.; for local offices, as far as Ashburton, daily, at 6 a.m. (Signed) Ed.
