For Australian Colonies, per To Anau, on Wednesday, 22nd inst., at 2.30 p.m. For Sydney and Newcastle, per Lindus, on Wednesday, 22nd inst., at 4.30 p.m. For Northern Ports of New Zealand and Sydney, per Waihora, on Wednesday, 22nd inst., at 4.30 p.m. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Eotorna, on Saturday, 25th May, at 4.30 p.m. For United Kingdom, East and West Coast of South America, per lonic on Tuesday, May 28th, as follows : Books, newspapers, and registered letters and money orders at 3.30 p.m.; ordinary letters at p.m.; late fee letters (6d extra) at Chief Post Office till 4.45 p.m., and at railway mail van North Express, till 5.5 p.m. „ . , , The parcel post mail for United Kingdom by the above boat will close at 4 p.m. on the same day. On and after Monday, 13th inst., mails by trains will close at Timaru, as follows For South (per express) daily at 2.30 p.m., and by other trains as at present. For North (by express) daily at 4.45 p.m. ; for Christchurch and intermediate offices, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, at 6 a.m., and on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, at 11.30 a.m.; for local offices, as far as Ashburton, daily, at 6 a.m. NOTICE. Friday, the 24th (Queen’s Birthday), the Post-office will be closed. Mails usuall despatched on Friday will bo made up they previous night (Thursday) at 8 p.m , at which time a delivery will bo made over the counter, from 8 to 9 p.m. The Telegraph Office will be open from 9 to 10 a.m. and 7to 8 p.m. only.
