Temuka Town Board.

The monthly meeting of the Temuka Town Board was held on Wednesday evening. Present—Messrs Gray (chairman), Blyth, Clinch, and Mason. Correspondence was received : From Mr Monahan, the contractor for the asphalting, requesting payment of the balance of his contract, £2O 13s 6d, and the deposit £3 3s, and intimating his willingness to keep the paths in order for three months free of charge. From the Geraldine County Council, requesting that the half of the board’s share towards the hospital and charitable aid fund, amounting to £ll Is Bd, might be remitted on or before June Ist.

From the same, enclosing form to be filled up, showing the receipts and expenditure for the year ending 31st March, 1899. Tenders were received for the ordinary labour of the board for six months, and the tender of Mr J. McGrath, £25 17s fid, was accepted.
