IN Pursuance of the “ Road Board Act 1883,” and its amendments, and “ Ihe Regulation of Local Elections Act 1876,” I, James Granger, Returning Officer for the above-named District, do hereby give notice that a GENERAL ELECTION will take place on TUESDAY, tho 7th day of May, 1889, to return FIVE MEMBERS to the Levels Road Board, viz: For the Otipua Subdivision—TWO MEMBERS; Eor tbe Point Subdivision —TWO MEMBERS For the Seadown Subdivision—ONE MEMBER. All the present Members (Messrs Balfour, Jones, Mco, Orbell and Rhodes) go out of Office, but are eligible for rc-election. Nominations of Candidates in tho form prescribed in the second schedule of “ The Local Elections Act 1876,” must bo sent in to mo before Noon on WEDNESDAY, tho Ist day of May, 1889, at the office of tho Kakanui Manufacturing and Moat Preserving Company, Washdyke.
