It is proposed to re-form the Comptoir d’Escompte, with a capital of 40,000,000 francs. PARIS EXHIBITION. The Senate has voted a million francs for fetes to be held in connection with the opening of the Exhibition. RIOT IN DEMERARA. Georgetown, April 14. Negroes looted the shops of Portuguese traders. The rioting lasted four days, when a war vessel arrived and quelled the rising. Many of the ringleaders have been arrested.
