The English wheat market is declining in tone ; the Contintental is weak, and the American markets also show a general decline. .New Zealand wheaton passage averages 35s 6d. Forward business is weak at a a decline. Arrivals of foreign cargoes are moderate. Up to date 131,000 bales have been catalogued at tho wool auctions, of which 127,800 have been sold. At auction to-day 1725 casks of tallow were offered, and 350 were sold ; medium mutton realised 34s 6d ; medium beef 33s 6d. A FAILURE. David Hart and Co., colonial merchants, have failed ; liabilities £14,000 ; assets £3OOO.
